Oh, man. I had to go digging into my old livejournal icons for my profile. ;D
I've never used Proboards as a moderator or an admin, so I'm curious-- is there a way to customize the smilies? Because I think it'd be better if the faces were on pieces of toast. xD I'll make a note in the suggestions thread as well. I just.... had nothing else to say. >_>

If my memory of being an administrator on a ProBoards serves me correctly, there is a way to upload custom smilies. |

Yeah, years ago. I've made a lot of forums using many different forum softwares in my time haha. Mostly for people needing forums and other times just to improve my skills for my own purposes. |

I'm pretty good with pixel spriting. I'll get back to you on that later.
EDIT: I can make the graphics, but I'm not sure how custom smilies are set up here. Not sure if it's a set of individual graphics that needs to be put into the coding, or if I need to render it out in some other way for you guys (like all on one sheet or something).

Well, bad news. I could have sworn there was a way to add custom smilies, but apparently not. ProBoards is a pretty basic forum software, so you can't really do much haha. The most "custom" thing we can do is change the name of the forum ranks. That's pretty much why I suggested we use a forum software like Zetaboards because you can practically do anything with it. It's pretty awesome. I'm definitely not saying we should switch over, but just making note of what could have been. |
